100% FDI IN AD VENTURES SOON
Article Abstract:
The Indian information and broadcasting ministry has finalised a new policy for the advertising segment. The policy will allow a 100 percent foreign direct investment (FDI) for the new projects in the advertising segment. Under the existing ventures in the sector, FDI limit is pegged at 74 percent. For the company which already has a joint venture and plans to set up a 100 percent subsidiary, then it is required to take special permission from the government. (gs)

HYUNDAI MOTOR KEEN TO AVERT PRICE WAR

Hyundai Motor India (HMI) is not keen on triggering a price war in the small car segment as this could harm the interests of both the industry and the consumer. Its small car, Santro, is priced Rs2.99 lakh now. This may be increased after the introductory offer of bookings close. HMI is expecting about 10,000 bookings now. (uh)
